Auditions!

About BUGSY AUDITIONS
The first class of BUGSY MALONE will be auditions. Students interested in specific roles should be familiar with the audition sides listed on the blogs by character(s). The sides are the actual scenes that will be used for the acting portion of the auditions. For singing, look at the singing audition material on the blog. It lists characters descriptions and song(s) that you should be familiar with if you’re interested in a specific role. We’ll also learn dance combinations that will be performed by the full cast in our production.

Don’t worry if you are unsure of which role you prefer. Everyone will be given a chance to read and sing several times for several different roles. If you don’t know a song, just sing Happy Birthday or something simple you already know. Ms. Mady, our Music Director, will play the piano and help you. If you prefer, you may sing 16 bars of an upbeat Broadway song of your choice for the auditions.
Your instructors, Mr. Joe, Ms. Mady,  Mrs. Ty,  as well as Mr. Kevin (who will be stopping in) are very excited about Bugsy Malone. It’s going to be an interesting journey through a far different era of time ending in a clever, colorful show that I know you will be very proud of being a part of.  Ms. Ty, Production Stage Manager

Bugsy Malone

Welcome to the Bugsy Malone blog.  Displayed on the right side tool bar are links to all the information you should need for the upcoming class.  There are two links to the MTI audition information - one is a direct link to Music Theatre International which is working for some and not for others.  The other audition information link has the same information in a "copy and paste" format.  Additional information regarding what to expect the first day of rehearsal will be posted later this week.

Classes begin on Saturday, January 12 and we are excitedly already working on cool Roaring Twenties costumes for the show.  If you have any questions, please call me at 214.498.5434.  Thanks, Ty Lawrence, Production Stage Manger.
